How can you still purchase them from Mint? Did you call them to order? I called them a few day ago. They said all coins were sold out.

Multiple phone calls dealing with many different people saying many different things to me about availability. Until I finally got the right person to talk to.

Are you an mc member? If so, you might have an assigned rep, that is where I was able to find a $5 1912 and 1914. Other than that, it does sound like luck of the draw.

first two times I called they told me it was all sold out until on Saturday I got the "right person" and managed to order all 3 5$ HS. And today I called and ordered one more, I was not a MC member before today to be honest, I just got a very friendly person on the phone.

An ebay auction for a 1913 $5 coin ends in 5 hours.

Still low at $560.

Will try to get this one.....

I have no idea, but tried 4 times and got an answer:
"they are sold out, but for you I have $10 HS".

People on the RFD forum say there are a lot of $5 gold coins available. If they say out of stock, ask to speak to supervisor.

I want to believe, that Customer Reps work also for commissions. So why they do not want to make a 5 minute effort and to speak with Shift Lead and to sell an additional coin?

BTW, the similar case was today, when I didn't refresh the browser cache, caln't see the "Add to cart" button - so I called the mint and Rep told me (after verification), that the coins (new release, not the $5 gold) will be available for MC only from TOMORROW.

Just placed an order for 1912 $5 coin. took me 2 trials. First time, the lady told me it sold out and that was it. After tips from another person on RFD, I called back but this time, the sale rep transfer me to Customer resoltion centre. at first she said 1912 seems to be out but the 1913 and 1914 was available. I said I would prefer 1912 and she put me on hold for a few minute then came back saying she able to secure me one. Happy camper

Exactly the same case as for Lostwords.
But after thinking preferred to take 1914 HS $5.

Added:
My bid for $1913 HS $5 isn't highest anymore...but now I have no reason to pay $575 for the coin that available for $500 ($565 including Tax).

Called the mint, ask for $5 gold coins, insisted with the rep that there are $5 gold coins available and finally manage to obtain the 3 years. I guess there are lots of people regretting after their purch ASE
