Cool thanks. That explains why there aren't any that have surfaced since the initial release.

If they do send 3 more, keep an eye on your credit card statement. RCM does make mistakes.... at your expense. I've never heard of getting free coins without being told they are free.

Hi folks!

I've been a lurker here for several months and have learnt a lot from you all. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as many of you, still waiting for delivery of my 1914 Hand Selected $5 gold coin from RCM, ordered on the website November 29, 2012.

I have seen my credit card company authorize the charge many times, raising my hopes, only to have the charge disappear, dashing them.

On the RCM site my order has seen so many different "processing" dates that I've lost count.

I do have to give RCM high marks for imagination for the many fantastical excuses for the delay that I have been given.

At this point I can only laugh at what has become a running joke.

However, thanks to another forum I have discovered the real reason for all our delays.

I hope that the mint will get their act together soon...

I look forward to becoming a more serious participant here in the future. Maybe after the coin arrives...

As Au is battered this week (going under 1,500 anytime), there are more cancellations at RC Mint.

Here are my grades 1912 $5 Ms63 Was a PS, 1913 $ 5 ms 62 (HS), 1914 $5 MS63 (HS).. 1912 $10 ms62 (HS), 1913 MS63 (pS), and drumroll: 1914 MS64 (pS). I was pleasantly surprised at all the grades but I know my 1914 $10 was the nicest obverse of about 30 coins I have viewed. Scans later.

30 Coins! That is a lot of money to spend on coins. It would cost tens of thousands of dollars.

BTW, the price of gold has dropped down below $1500 for the first time in almost two years. I heard some people are cancelling the orders from the Mint.
