Non-graded Bank of Canada 1914 $5 coins are still selling at a premium over non-graded regular 1914 $5 coins. Here is a comparison of 2 $5 coins that sold in the last 2 days.

A Bank of Canada $5 1914 coin sold for $834.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1914-5-Hand...em3cd11166ba

A non Bank of Canada $5 1914 gold coin sold for $625.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1914-CANADA...em43bb2f3918

You get a premium of $200 for Bank of Canada Gold Coins.

The quality of the coins are not even close in the auctions. The non Bank of Canada gold coin is VF+/EF condition. So certainly, when you compare the two, the Bank of Canada gold deserves a higher price.

HST is extra. I tried adding a 1914 $5 premium select and was prompted to pay over $150 in taxes.

Those are high prices from CCC. A fellow collector I know bought a 1913 HS $5 for $600 all in at a dealer's shop. How can CCC charge $200 + tax more in good faith? I wonder if anybody is biting?

Your friend got a really good deal.

I'm sure people will start paying these prices once the supply from flippers starts disappearing.

Seller said this is a "Bank of Canada Hoard coin", but ICCS does not comment this. Weird~

I'm jealous, they updated the processing date to May 7th. I wonder if one of their performance measures is time between Processing and shipping. I've seen this updated 4-5 times and still no action. Hope yours look nice when they arrive.

^^ me too and I've been hounding my rep for awhile now. The CC was preauthorized again today. Maybe this will be the magic 15th time and they will ship.

Don't give up guys!

Your gold coins are coming and you will be very pleased with their quality.

With regard to the ebay auction http://www.ebay.com/itm/151040701740 for an ICCS graded AU-55 coin, I doubt very much if it's really from the Bank of Canada Hoard as stated in the listing title.

If you look on page 154 of this thread, you will see that tripoli's legitimate hoard coins which he had graded by ICCS were all verified as "Ex Bank of Canada" on the certificates.

Anyway, I plan to keep my coins in their original capsules with the security holograms.

^^^^^^^^

It is a case of the seller misrepresenting his listing by claiming it is from the Bank of Canada Hoard. He is banking on buyer's ignorance.
