I wouldn't mind if it was a single - penny sized - gold penny. 1/10th oz or so.

I just gained MC status, but haven't received an email. Any idea if this offer will show up on the MC webpage once you login on the mint website?

Doubt it. It's hit and miss to even get an email from then despite being an MC member for 10+ years. What it says at the beginning of this thread - is complete. No more, No less.

I'm not sure if it'll show up. Watch this site for the best info.

I suspect it is something to do with the Grey Cup. First, this year is the 100th Grey Cup to be played. Second, Earl Grey, the Governor General of Canada, who donated the Cup in 1909, was born on November 28.

And the Grey Cup will be OVER by then.

Maybe they were cleaning up and found an old scrap piece of metal in the basement that has been aging for over a hundred years, then they decided to turn it into coins.

I think you are on to something...maybe the winner of the grey cup will have a coin! Can't say i'll be buying an Argos or Stamps coin? I hope I'm wrong!
