Hello everyone

Think I got another Die Clash here. Unsure if there's a clash on the obverse, I use a scanner which has trouble capturing clashes/errors. The reverse on the other hand appears to have a couple clash marks and a few of them appear very strong.

Seems like you love clashed dies, I do as well and was a massive cent hunter and learned what a clashed die was from this forum but am now converted to Morgan silver dollars, as VAM collecting basically consists of amazing clashed dies with some sweet double dies as well! Keep it up though that is why I still peak back here often, pennys are free, and there are still many hidden treasures but the same still goes with Morgan dollars. Lots of new varieties to be found.

I definitely love clashed dies, I love almost all error coins in fact! Nothing more beautiful to me than a nice error coin. I have a lot of wheat cents to look through (about 3,000 I think), haven't even began to make a dent yet. Once I get through these coins I probably will consider collecting a new type of coin and Morgan dollars were one of the coins I was considering. They might be a bit too pricey though for my budget, any other coins out there with nice errors you'd recommend that are a bit cheaper than Morgans?

Yes you usually won't get a Morgan under $30, cause the numismatic value is usually worth more then the melting weight of silver but VAMS can seriously increase the value and make it very fun to find/pick but you have to do it secretly, dealers don't really like it. Make sure you have a small detailed list of vams you want don't get greedy, and ask if you can see coins from those years but don't tell them your looking for VAMS, good luck!
P.s. very difficult to collect different denominations let a lone Morgans, lol
That's why I've turned to Morgan's!
And there Pretty!!

Thanks a ton for the advice Kman! Sounds like something I'd enjoy doing. Got a question though, aren't most VAMs only visible with significant magnification? I think a dealer might be suspicious of someone examining a coin with a high power loupe. Or is that something most people do anyways (looking at coins through a loupe in a shop)?

You just have to feel them out, but they should allow you to check them out with a loupe just don't take to long haha
