That nickel on a dime planchet sounds interesting. Does this guy say how he gets these coins?

I appreciate the novelty, but I *hate* aluminum, zinc, and brass coins. I would prefer the steel sandwichs we have now over aluminum.

The loon dollar has me suspicious - it is fully struck, in collar, it could be missing the plating layer - but in that condition, it really does not matter...

Heat. Oxygen acetylene torch. Too hot melts it. Just right turns silver.

The loon is indeed suspicious. Obverse is abraded and reverse looks also attacked (chemical deposits here and there, etc). The 5c is very neat.

Bmoney using an ace....torch would melt the whole coin not just the plating portion...

Try it. I know it works. Oxy acetylene torch turns loonies silver before they melt.
