I don't think it's just a delay, if it was, why not let people cancel after the 3rd coin and still send them the box months later, I'd be fine with a delay. This is changing the rules of the game in the middle of it.

I think people should not only be looking at just the case but what the whole series has to offer. Here is an opportunity to own something great at a reasonable price and display it nicely. Yes it's a shame people will have to wait longer for the box, but think about how nice it will look when the box is shipped.

if you follow alot of posts, there is actually a RCM representative who frequents the boards, I am sure almost everything that is said on here, is relayed back to his or her boss. That why people have to wait for the 7th coin to get their case. imho.

I don't think that I've ever seen a clearer example of a "bait and switch".... they clearly stated that you get the case free upon purchasing the 3rd coin, now they want to push it back to the 7th coin?

Only a bait and switch for those who trying to get a case for the temporary ownership of three coins.
For the majority, it's just another in a long series of case mishaps and delays.

It is not fair that they can do that... But, for me it doesn't really matter I was buying the whole set anyways!!

It doesn't really matter to you this time . They will keep doing because of that. Sooner and later it will matter to you I believe.

It not fair that people only get the set to get a free box. Either way, poor business practices on the mints part and it show childish business practices. If you promises something then live up to your word and don't cry like a baby and change the rules later.

I was planning to get complete set (maybe canceling after maple and buying last coin separately - to get spare clamshells) anyways so this delay means nothing to me

Quote: I'm currently experiencing a worrying issue myself. I susbcribed to the O CANADA half once silver coin. I received the first one no problem (the Inukshuk). Different story for the Beaver. It says in my profile that the coin was shipped on Feb 11 via lettermail. My credit card got charged the day after. We are now Feb 25th and still no coin. I called twice and the representatives told me 2 different stories. The first one was that the beaver is actually backordered - even though there is no notice at all on the website. The second rep told me to wait longer and that Canada post can start an investigation only after 30 days... Anybody experienced this before? They are in Ottawa and I'm in Toronto. Should take a few days max to get here.... I ordered a bunch of coins with them before and this is the first time this happens. Frustrating.... I had subscriptions from the very beginning and received beavers, invoices dated feb 14th. I also bought another sub a week ago, also received it already(today), invoice dated feb 20th. I'm also in Toronto. So it's not backordered and it takes just couple of days to receive it

Why is it not fair only to get the set to get "free" box? After I get ripped off for so many years on overpriced NCLT, then I become smarter by trying to make a little bit money to offset my cost using my ebay knowledge and following their rules? What is difference btw this and I order three GITD coins which I only intend to keep one?

Quote: After I get ripped off for so many years on overpriced NCLT Does the RCM force you to buy their coins? Does the RCM change increase their price after you make a purchase? Do they refuse to refund your money if you aren't happy with the product in hand? "Ripped off" might be a little strong terminology don't you think? Somebody might have items that I feel are overpriced but unless it is something I must buy or something I am forced to buy, or if I couldn't return it if I was unhappy, I wouldn't call it being ripped off. If I felt something was that overpriced but I continued to buy it anyway, knowing the terms of the transactions in advance, and doing it continuously over a number of years, I would be thinking my own judgment was a little off kilter for allowing myself to get "ripped off" time and time again!
