Bought this while back can't seem to find any info at all...believe it's silver and 19mm or 20mm. First instinct was that it was perhaps some kind of pattern...maybe for a gold washington dollar? Or maybe it's just some sort fantasy? Any help out there...

Let me begin by stating I'm not an expert on Washingtonia, just a collector with a variety of Washington-related pieces in my collection. Here are my thoughts...

Your piece is not an official pattern for a US coin. While the US Mint has made a number of coin patterns featuring Washington over the years, the piece shown is not one of them. It's also not a medal produced by the US Mint.

The piece you've shown looks like a token or game counter to me. Are you sure it's silver?

I went through a book I have on Washington pieces to see if I could find it listed, but didn't locate it among the pieces included.

My reply is not much help, I realize, but maybe a more knowledgeable collector of the material will be along shortly.

Good luck!

Just a guess/hunch but I would believe it came from a souvenir or premium set like a gas station give-away. If it's silver that would be a nice premium. John Adams would have a number 2 on his reverse and Thomas Jefferson would be number 3 and so on.
