I noticed a thread had been locked but missed the 'on vacation'.
Was it the thread subject / wording or something I missed?

I missed it as well. I just got in from my son's house a little while ago and I had an email waiting from good ol Jerry. If it's for good, I really will miss him.

I was in the middle of responding and realized that I couldn't respond again. I noticed today that it was locked and his tag said "On vacation" I spoke to him via email and he said he wasnt 100% sure why he was kicked but suspects it had to do with his misc. picts in order to get people to pay attention to his thread and make comments. So if hes gone for good, this will be a great loss as I personally love his antics and keeps me coming back for more. A shame my friends, a shame.

I'm having some computer problems... My Laptop is out of batteries and the charger is at my friends house... And I can't use my parents computer as I have problems with everything on it... I hate Mac's.... Anyone able to tally the results... I'm likely to be offline for a while soon... And Steve is gone? We will miss him... Especially his antics! |

I suspect it wasn't the content of the pics, but hosting them on the CCF servers. I've heard the cumulative bandwidth costs the folks who host the CCF forum. The random pics on "The Neverending Story" also contributed to its demise. Hope Steve isn't a goner--he'll be missed! |

I saw this when I go home last night from work, it was locked, there were no bad pic's, just some random pic's. I hope they give Steve on more chance, he will be missed..  |

I also believe it had to do with all the misc pics that have since been removed. I hope that he will be able to return. He adds a lot to this forum.
On the length of the smackdowns. A smackdown a week is a good idea. Five days of posting and two for voting or a combination thereof.

Thanks Bing. Now I'm mostly offline for a few days... I'm traveling (last minute... I learned Boxing Day...) and will not have my laptop cord back until the First... I'm using my iPod now |
