As much as I like the look of the Dansco albums (I have two) I was not sold on doing my US type set in one (not just because I couldn't find one for sale). While it would be a lot easier to showcase in the album (and look really nice), I opted to put my entire set in air-tites mainly due to wanting to grab a few really nice examples and not feeling comfortable placing them in an album. I decided to go with the air-tite cards and boxes to store them in. While I can't showcase it per se, they do look nice in the cards and I could lay them out on a table if I want.

What other solutions have folks come up with for storing your type set other than a Dansco? Slabs I imagine would be a similar set up with boxes or maybe a binder.

I also was able to customize my set. I Removed from the Dansco list:
American Silver Eagle

I added:
Shield reverse Lincoln Cent
Native American Series $1
1965-70 Kennedy half
Return to Monticello Nickel

I also substituted an ATB for a State Quarter.

This rounded out the set to 80 coins total which fit in 4 boxes.

I use the Lighthouse trays and place those trays into a Pelican Case.

Intercept Shield Type Set album is a better alternative than the 7070.

I agree w/ putting them in 2 x 2 flips & soring them in the vinyl sheets to be put in a binder.

They are now making plastic binder sheets that will hold slabbed coins. I picked some up at the FUN show last week. This way I can put them in my binder w/ all my 2 x 2 flips for the majority of my coins

My slabs go into the plastic sheets Dave mentioned.

Great for storing and showing.
