Puh - leeeease knowledgeable forum members ... please don't tell me PMD re the marks on this coin from my work mate. Surely I have to crack a winner sooner or later?

Anyhoo, I'll keep trying until I get a drooling smiley face.

... but don't hold back on honest assessments in the meantime.

Just my guess--it's some kind of planchet lamination that has lifted up in places.

Thanks DVCollecter for your comment - I have to assume this is a good thing.

... but ... I'm still hanging out for a drooling smiley like this ...

Anyone - someone - please hit me with drooling smiley if this coin is worth hanging on to.

There you are! Happy? If it was mine, I'd keep it, but I estimate value would only be $2 or so.

Thanks Nancy for the smiley face and thanks to the others for their comments. Disappointing that the value is so low though, I thought I was on a winner ...

Not to worry, I like the coin so will hang on to it for a while.
