Hi Everyone.
I am not sure if this is a common thing or not: I've got a One Cent Lincoln 2000-D coin with obverse and reverse rotated 180 degrees.
Can post some pics if somebody interested)
Many thanks

Welcome Maxxx54, interested in seeing the photos, but you may have to take against a mirror.

looks like your first mirror picture shows that it has the correct alignment, coin alignment or coin orientation. Quote: Coin Orientation When the rotation axis of the two dies of a coin is 180 degrees. That is, when a coin's obverse is facing the viewer "right way up" and the coin is held at top and bottom and turned over, the reverse now appears "upside down". The opposite is "medal orientation".

Many thanks for reply. I'm not very knowledgeable in numismatist and thought that all coins should have "medal orientation" as you call it. Sorry fro bothering. Best regards

its not a problem. The US uses coin orientation, however many other countries use medal orientation.

When you think you've found something unusual, try looking at another cent of the same year...that will often anwer your question.

I quickly made the following pictures. I may upgrade them later. When looking at a coin with a mirror. This is the Coin Orientation used in the US. This is the Medal Orientation used in the UK.
