SPP-Ottawa Moderator Canada 10464 Posts	Posted 02/02/2013 3:39 pm Being someone who handles a fair bit of graphics and photos on a Mac, I usually just cropped and resized the photos myself, for posting here. It was fairly easy, and quick. Today, I wanted to post a bunch of errors, and decided to try the free image optimizer here... Dang.... I am impressed! It was easily four times faster... what a great service to the users of this website!! If you have not tried it out yet, take my word on this and give it a whirl!! Firefox works for me but is slow uploading to CCF. I just use Preview and view the pic; hit save; adjust the size slider, and hit OK. SPP-Ottawa Moderator Canada 10464 Posts	Posted 02/06/2013 8:35 pm I use Safari and Preview... it is just that my camera is set up for high resolution photos, and Preview only shrinks down to a certain percentage. Image Capture works ok, but it is a multi-step process, because the screen-resolution photos are exported as .tiff files. Using the CCF image optimizer takes the file direct from my camera, to a 75-90KB image in one step.
