I have been buying Modern proof coins from ebay and my dealer.
So on ebay I would never bid, I would use the buy it now button. In the last few days I have bidded on some proofs. I got to say, I got them cheaper than I thought I would of have.

I like proof coins but I stick to silver and the by products I get with silver proof sets.

I used to buy proofs all the time and then switched to silver when they started with those. I think I liked the original packaging they usually came in, thinking it protected them and preserved them better than a plastic baggy. I don't generally buy single coin proofs... so not sure what the prices would be for them.

Doug58, I don't really know the price too. But I know kennedy's go for around $2.50 to $3.50.
