Any idea how many people are MC members?

I never got any call when I became MC. I do enjoy the peace of mind of ordering anytime and not worry about shipping.

Diddo! No worries about any additional fees including subscriptions which can add up very easily. I also like first priority when it comes to ordering before the general public.

That would be interesting to see how many new MC member from this pass year compare to previous years. I would think the ratio of new MC member from last year is much higher than previous years.

I believe there are more MC members this year because many people purchased the 1912, 1913, and/or 1914 coins to boost themselves to MC status. I'm also curious to see what percentage have personal reps.

That and 5oz coins. I brought the 5oz penny to put me into MC status. Actually, it is not that difficult to reach the MC status any more. If you look at the recent price pattern. Most 1oz coins are above $100 each. If you subscribe to the 1oz o Canada series, you are half way there. Add the 1/2 oz series and 1 or 2 more coins, you'll be Mc at end of the year

Lostwords,
Did you order the hand selected $5 pieces and did you receive them all? What were your impressions when you got them all? Which 5oz pieces did you order?

I think I am the only few that did not order any of those gold coins offering. I did order the 5 oz penny and the recent 5oz SML. Didn't bother with the beaver.

I saw the 5oz SML and loved the look of the coin. The picture of the box looked incredible until I saw it in person. What a shame. I would have preferred if they stuck to the maroon box in this case. Otherwise, the mint should have used a nice wooden box like they usually do with the 5 penny set.

@ jsinger21 & rockdaddy....Called the mint this morning and she was able to credit back the shipping on my SML and also the shipping on my pending dino's which haven't shipped yet. Thanks a lot for the recommendation. Hopefully I can return the favour sometime.....

But if for example I buy the 1914 $10 Hand-Selected Gold Coin($ 1,000) I became MC member immediately even if my CC will not be charged maybe in 10 months (until they decide to ship my coin) ?

Yeah, I think you become MC next business day but you will probably get that coin pretty soon since it is not sold out and it looks most people are getting their coins now.

For me, saving on shipping cost is a good reason to keep my MC status. But I just don't know what to spend $1000 on anymore. I'm confused.
