Hello All

I am trying to build a collection of Kennedy halves for my boy's when I came across one without the reeding on the edge, I assume it's damage; but didn't want to roll it and bring back to the bank if it's something I should save for them.

Without viewing both sides of the coin, and a better photo of the edge, I would guess it may be a slot machine ½ Dollar if it fits in a ½ Dollar wrapper as broadstruck errors wouldn't fit the normal wrapper. (IMHO)

I think Broken-Coin is right. I actually see a lot of these when searching half dollars.

Thank you all! Now I get to search for another 74! Believe it or not, I enjoy looking through thousands of coins, just don't know why.

This is also a great series for Doubled Die and RPM's.
(1964 through about 1980 that I am aware of)
I used to buy 1000 coin bags of these just for this and
the silver of course.
Quite a few listed in the Cherry Pickers Guide.
Also laden with very minor DD that are not listed.
