Back in December I was setting Buffalo nickels free. During the holiday season I spent, or left as tips, around 20 of the little fellas. Most were dateless and I thought it would be better to get them in the hands of a potential future collectors than hold on to them in a plastic tube, stored in a box, hidden in a closet.

One time I used a few buying lunch at a Chinese restaurant near work. The guy at the register saw them immediately and said, with a smile, "These are the old type of nickels!"

About two weeks ago, at the same restaurant, I got this in change:

Coin-Karma

Coin-Karma

Next December maybe I should spend a few silver quarters at the same restaurant and see what happens.

Nice it wasn't considered "old type".

Cheers and thumbs up! Not for your good Karma but for your setting the bison free.
You will never know how far these nickels will travel before they find a home
with a person who becomes fascinated with coins.

Last September at the NH Coin Expo I arranged with the speaker of the Kid's Seminar to send them and their parents over to our
educational table. After showing them my set of "V" nickels I asked the kids if they would like a sample.
I then let each one pull a coin from a little cloth bag. The parents enjoyed an adult talking with the youngster
as an equal.

My coin karma has been quite good lately. There MUST be a connection!
