Just got a sales call from the UCB. I told them I was getting ready to call them as I never received my silver eagle. They claimed the order was accidentally not sent to processing and that he would take care of it right away. Surprisingly, he didn't try to sell me any overpriced gold. I was hoping to blow him off with a "We'll see how this order goes first."

I got my free book today!! Exactly 6 weeks from ordering. I have only looked through a little of it but I feel it's well worth the 20$ that it normally costs.

I got mine yesterday and agree that it is a great freebie. I love David Bowers writing style. There is a lot of great info contained from what I have read so far. Very nice book. Mike

My wife bought that book for me for Christmas- one of the best all-purpose coin books I have ever read. Bowers is a fascinating read as always

An up-date. Since getting my "free" slabbed ASE, I have only received one call from the company. I told the guy I was busy at that moment, and asked him to call some other time. So, it's been good so far. No hassle.

Gary, I'm surprised to hear you are getting calls.
Guess I'm just lucky, or out of the house a lot.
We have two telephone lines in our house, and the one that the sales guy will call on just got a nice new caller ID set up. So, I'll be looking as to who's calling, and know when not to pick up.

the experts guide is only in the hard cover so if you got the soft cover you only get the pres book and the free $10.00 ASE but that's not bad either Gary too

Ever since the word got out about the free offers in the Red Book I've noticed at coin shows all of those offers have been taken out of the brand new books. I think dealers are now doing the removals, sending in for them and selling the stuff at the coin shows. As to the phone calles from those people that made the offer about the 6th page of the Red Book, get an answering machine. Those calls will stop when they know they are tolking to a machine.

My spiral softcover book had the Eagle offer and the Bowers "Experts Guide"(nice book!) freebies inside. I don't know anything about the Pres. book offer. I got one phone call after the coin offer, told them I was not interested and never heard from anyone again. Maybe I'm lucky as well! Mike
