How To Assess Value On Lowballs - Coin Community Forum

Anywho, when looking at wholesale or any other price guide, when there isn't a price listed for say. AG-3 or FR-02, but rather only G-4, what are YOUR ways of assessing the potential value? BH1964 Bedrock of the Community United States 10982 Posts	Posted 03/17/2013 01:53 am This varies a lot from coin to coin. In another thread there's an 1859 IHC that graded PCGS PO1. Because some collectors pursue lowballs (which can be FR2 for some series') the prices can go way up when certified below AG3. Take a look the Heritage Auctions completed listings (membership is free) to get an idea of current market values. Some paid sites do offer price guides down to PO1 but they are usually not very accurate. ANA #R3154474 Report this Post to the Staff
