It's been a little while since I picked up pennies so the banks had more than normal. Went through 2 boxes and 12 rolls with older Canadian finds being: 1940, 1942, 1944, 1950, 1952, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957(2), 1958(2), and 1959. Found 8 wheat cents, 4 two euro cents and 2 UK pennies (1974 and 1989). Found a 2006 one cent from the Bahamas, a 2002 one cent from Trinidad and Togago, and most interesting of all a 1970 two kopeks from the Soviet Union.

i personally find a lot of American coinage. I mostly do the pennies and nickels and I have over 2 boxes full rolled of nickel nickels. it is interesting that in the states if they get the odd canadian coin, like in the southern ones. I love to find the occasional score.

I searched a box of nickels a couple of days ago there was a full roll of 1964's which I will check later. There were approximately 3 rolls of US coins with only a couple dating to the 60s. But the cool find was this. I don't know how you mistakenly roll a copper coloured coin in a pile of nickels.

I also just finished a box of quarters. One silver dated 1965. There seems to be a lot of MS quality Olympic coins in this bunch too although I found no moles.

Wolfman, sorry about your odd finds in your quarters, definite loss of money.. Still interesting! But it's no mistake, since banks don't open rolls anymore to check what ppl roll, you could theoretically end up with a whole roll of junk, and someone gets a free $10 from the bank.. I'm all for leaving my acct # on the rolls and verification as long as it's blotted out before going out to the public afterward.

I really find it frustrating when people "accidentally" stick dimes and nickels in the quarter rolls.
I once found a quarter in a dollar roll, and a $50 roll of toonies was full of dollars. That is a $25 dollar loss.
The bank did take it back since they know who just turned them and believed it to be an honest mistake.
That is an advantage of making friends at the banks. They learn over time if they can trust you.

uh, it might Wolfman, not sure, but I can tell you I have a better one for you.. in fact, I was looking at your wantlist and I have a few items for you - I'll get back to you shortly and maybe work out a trade as I'm trying to fill my Canadian dimes and quarters albums as well. Thanks, Darcy

Fixguy - your 1989D LMC may be DDO. That first 9 looks thicker and the 1 maybe notched. Have a look at Coppercoins - you may have a double die. Good luck!

Wolfman, I have searched a lot of nickels and I have found that the 90 bare belly shows up in varying degrees, I have found 2 or 3 completely bare, and then about 40 that have some degree of bareness. What I am looking for are the horizontal striations that appear in that triangle. if you look on your example you can clearly see the striations, so I would say yes you do have a bare belly, and almost completely bare too.
Nice find.

I am up to about 30 boxes of nickels and this is the first that resembled a bare belly. I have a better lit photo

I am just about done another box and got this. Ace - I see what you mean about varying degrees, this one has only a small triangle.
