Finally got around to another box of nickels. About a dozen rolls of nickel ones, and one roll of US. Only a handful of keepers though. Any idea where the brown one is from?

Finished the box of nickels from a couple weeks ago. All were machine wrapped.
50 MWR: 103 2015s 2008 that I think has a minor struck-through grease error.
Everything was plated steel, which I could tell by the enders and the machine-wrapped rolls. Since my bank always has to order boxes (they have a very limited amount of rolls of coins), I think they order them from a place that machine wraps their rolls. I may just have to stick to smaller quantities of rolls if this happens again.
Out of curiosity, does anybody specifically ask tellers for customer-wrapped rolls when you order a box? Is that beyond the bank's control? Thanks.

I run into that at times. Ask for a few bundles instead of a box, and you are more likely to get rolls made from customers coins and tellers trays.

shoeplier, you need to engage the teller, and specifically ask for old rolls, do it in a funny light way, and explain you are a collector. I get about 90% CWR because I have worked most of my pick up banks to the point they know me well. I actually have several banks who call me regularly because they have had someone bring in too much coin, and want me to come and buy it.

so I guess all of us were on vacay for the 2+ weeks? no posts....
ok, sorry I don't have any pictures, I did have last week off, took a staycation.
decided to do some short CRH road trips.
went up through North Van, hit up about 20 banks (never been up there before for roll hunting) ended up getting over 4 boxes of pennies. I found a complete roll of silver dimes, another KGV dime (dateless)
1965 silver dollar 3 silver 50 cents 7 silver quarters 40 more silver dimes
and the pièce de resistance..... 1898 French 50 centime
anyone who says CRH does not pay has not tried correctly!

That much sliver nice!, I have been doing dimes and only get around 1 per 2.5 boxes, guess all sliver in bc is in Vancouver and no sliver outside of Vancouver. Probably go to a random bank next time I'm in Vancouver to try it out.

I normally don't go into Vancouver this was just a trip to see what I could find up there. My net is pretty wide south of the Fraser
