The link in the OP doesn't work for me. Can someone explain what "Rev of 07" means? My ignorance is showing here, but I interpret that as the 2007 ASE reverse was mistakenly reused on the 2008 ASE issue for a limited number of presses. However, the two reverses look the same to me.

The OP's topic reminded me of a posting on this forum about 25 or so coins that collectors would or should be saving. I went looking for the posting by I can't seem to find the right set of parameters to locate the thread. Does anybody have a link to this mysterty thread of mine.
Thanks...................

You are right the reverse of the 2007 was used on about 47.000 2008 eagles , compare the you in United States on the back of the coins and you will see the difference.
Prior to 2008 the "U" had no serif at the bottom, post 2008 a serif was added.

Jbuck with the Yoda reference, YES! LOL
Personally I would have gone for the 09S only because that is the last I need to finish of my IHP set. But that rev of 7 IS on my list. And that is a nice example sir.

Foxwoods Man, nothing wrong with blowing your own horn. You made some real good calls a few years back and now you're reaping the benefits. I must admit though, that's about $200 more than I thought, hope you get a bidding war at the end.
