It's also 199USD plus shipping. Closer to 230CAD.
C/A sold 40 units at $250 each yesterday in a few hours and Gatewest is up to $260 which is the lowest price I've seen today.
Not to troll feed, but pretty sure most of us can agree that $200 for the glass butterfly is a very long shot now at least in the foreseeable future.
My local PO received their coins today. Both polar bears (1/2oz and 1oz), moon mask, and 7 years war. No canopy and no butterflies. Said that no PO in Ottawa is getting glass butterflies. He also said that they can order from CP Philatelic at a certain time (say 1PM). By the time most of them entered their orders (a couple of minutes) and hit 'enter', the butterflies were gone. Just hearsay so take it for what it's worth. There are 6600 post offices after all and CP Philatelic likely had 2-3k total allocation so obviously not all POs can order even one.
Interested to see if anyone can confirm that a local PO received butterflies.

@CC-Ottawa - Someones post office did. Forget who it was though. Put it this way, I do not think many post offices knows if they will get one.

I'm looking for 'did get' and sold to a customer. Lots of POs think they will be getting them. I'm sure some will, I just haven't seen anyone confirm it. Anyone?

Quote: Said that no PO in Ottawa is getting glass butterflies. Don't put so much blind trust in your sources of information. There was a glass butterfly, sitting in the display cabinet, in my Ottawa post office this morning. Normally, I shun NCLT and I don't play the 'flipping game', but I actually thought it was beautiful, as a piece of art, not a coin. So, I bought it as a present for my daughter, issue price.

Ya, didn't really believe him...I was born at night, but not last night That's a nice pickup for you and your daughter. Also, thanks for the confirmation that someone has purchased at a PO.

Hey ladies, chill out. It's all for fun.
Let's face it, none of us who hang out chatting about glass butterfly coins is a serious numismatist. No need to get all passive aggressive.

@Bibo - Congrats. I feel like calling my post office every day to ask if they got it in but I do not think they will like that.

Thanks.
I do not call them to check everyday. They just call me when they received the coins.

I picked up my Moon Mask today at the post office. The lady who places the orders and hunts down coins for me said she ordered qsix Butterfly Glass coins, but said it will be a surprise what she ends up with. Many people have called requesting this coin.

Congrats on your score, Bibo! BTW, when did you order? My clerk ordered right at 1:00 on March 28th. Still, butterfly is delayed until April 30th. But knowing you received yours is encouraging for the rest of us!

Plenty more opportunities coming to pick it up under $200. None have sold for less than $200 on ebay so far. Completed auctions range from $263 to $300. And PO staff that say they ordered 6 of them are misinformed. The brochure clearly states 2 per post office.
