Are Scottsdale Silver Stacker bars worth a premium or is it just a gimmick to get a higher premium? Right now I just stack ASEs but considering bars either Stackers or NTR.

Cool stackable but they do not bring a premium in anyway that I have seen.

Not really

http://store.scottsdalesilver.com/p...r-Silver-Bar

As long as you buy at least 2 and preferably 4 the price in comparison to spot is insignificant in my book. The bars are solid awesome bars IMO but when it comes to what a dealer will pay you when it comes time to sell all the people I run across will consider in run of the mill junk .999. That usually means $.80 under here. So to answer the question, Are they worth it?

Probably

$2.50+ over spot for a bar seems to be a high premium to me.

I'd pay the small difference for the stacker over the NTR bars
They stack well and are a neat item.
NTR bars I consider a joke

NTR bars around here get a good price compared to other bars when resold.

Throwback
To me a bar should not get the same premium as an ASE or more than a Maple Leaf. But that's me.

If given the choice between the ASE and the Scottsdale Stacker I would obvious pick the SAE all day long. $2.50 over for a nice bar delivered to your home no muss, no fuss, is to much in my mind. I would never pay a premium for a common date CML though.

Stackers are very nice way to stack and store silver maximizing space, if that is a concern to you.
