1858 Seated Half: Still Cleaned, But Improved (?)

Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6398 Posts	Posted 04/08/2013 11:58 am When I bought this coin it was a bright piece covered with hairlines from an abrasive cleaning. Detail was AU-50-ish and it retained some cartwheel luster despite the obvious cleaning. I have since "encouraged" it to retone and I like the result. It is still a cleaned piece (and I would not represent it any other way) but eye appeal I think is significantly improved. Thoughts? Original appearance: Post-toning: Report this Post to the Staff
