jack jeckel Pillar of the Community United States 5212 Posts	Posted 04/08/2013 10:50 pm I got my latest "real" classic commemorative half for my 7070 today: a Lexington Concord half. I felt that the 4 holes were meant to be filled with classic halves and not modern equivalants. I also added a blank half dollar page and a year set page to my 7070 album. I started out with the cheap ones to fill the holes: Columbus (1892 and 1893), Booker T, and George Washington Carver. I have since replaced 3 with little harder to find ones although holed and moved the others along with the duplicates to the half dollar page I added to include the modern commemorative halves and a page from the year set album. So today in the mail I got the Lexington, I picked up the 1920 Pilgrim at a local coin show a few weeks ago for $15, and I picked up the Stone Mountain for $1 over melt on ebay a while ago. On the extras page I scored 2 Booker T's in trade for 2 1964 Kennedy's from the guy I traded with for the Barber halves and roll hunting I found 3 Statue of Liberty's, 1 Congress, 1 WWII, and the Olympic basketball. Was surprised to read that you found several modern commemorative half-dollars in rolls. Did the rolls come from a bank? Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. FadeToBlack Pillar of the Community 1751 Posts	Posted 04/11/2013 02:49 am I've found 1 Columbian, 2 Booker T's, 1 Carver, 2 '82 GW's, a '93 Bill of Rights, and plenty of BS/Proof clad commems in rolls. Then again, I'm over $500k in halves searched, so... :) Nice classic commems, the holed pieces are interesting. Would be a cool challenge to put together a holed commem set.
