They did have the fishing coin at 31.39 grams. I called to check and they did confirm it's a typo. They changed it pretty quick.

I agree Royal Silver. I bet the 50 cent butterly will look better than the silver butterfly. Kind of like the 50 cent Titanic coin looked better than the silver Titanic coin.

The silver plated one is larger - 42mm versus 40mm for the silver one.

Looks like mint made an error and fixed it. I saw the fishing coin as weight 31.29 and now it says 7.96. Call later and cancel!

Eagle is still available. I feel the design of it is just ok.

Funny, showed sold out and no option to add to the cart, now I go back and it shows up. I see the "official" Notice went out to MC Members via email as well

The eagle coin will definitely look better in hand than the mint picture. The description says it's going to be frosted. Also, "Its white feathers are engraved in intricate dimensional detail"
I just realized this is a bald eagle series (thought it was a birds of prey series). It says there will be different perspectives of the eagle in future releases.
Along with the edge lettering, I like it.

Quote: How so? They both looks exactly the same... One other small difference besides FV and size on the Tiger Swallowtail. The 50 cent coin has a coloured flower as well, the silver doesn't.

Quote: Kind of like the 50 cent Titanic coin looked better than the silver Titanic coin. IMO, the silver-plated Titanic looks fancier, but not better. And for both silver-plated - Butterfly and Titanic the issue price is the same $34.95 I do like the idea of oversizing.
