J & M charges $10 shipping. Also, they are charging tax(es) for this tax-exempt item?!

If they are asking for more then FV, then they have to charge tax, because it certainly isn't bullion. The only way the RCM can make it tax free is because they sell it for its FV.

Noah I have a bunch of those pennies, 2006 Canada Steel Magnetic Logo Penny Canadian, your doing good selling them for that price. maybe I should start selling some lol. But I guess any Canadian penny is worth more then they used to be since they are not making anymore. I went through all mine to try and find the 2006 magnetic no logo ones, no luck.

Has nothing to do with FV or bullion, .999 silver/gold is not taxable.

@Northerncoins - interestingly enough, I haven't sold a single one since the penny said adios.

@Anjohl - I assume you mean .99 silver. It can't be that anyways because they are charging tax on this one and it is the same finesse:

In today's Saturday's Globe and Mail newspaper, on page A5, the Mint bought a half page advertisement for the $100 coin for $100.

Love the way they wrote a special website link... With the "elite2" on the address. "Stay ahead of the pack. Be the first in line for the premium groundbreaking $100 for $100 series."

So much for that....

This coin will surely gain popularity amongst non collectors of this coin. I don't think the Mint expected to sell out this fast... Otherwise, they would not have to advertise at all. Those ads are usually book weeks ahead of time.

Depend on what province you live in.

.999 silver/gold is now charged PST of 7% in BC as of April 1, 2013.
