Quote: wow, I wish I sold for that price!... Just wait a few months or so , you are really going to wish you still had the ones you sold. the price of these are going to be going up and up and then once the second one comes out they may even go higher.

I was speculative about that...I mean such a high mintage and the amount of people who got 3 to flip was high. I dont think they will sell for more than 150 each, and thats probably going to be foreign collectors

50 k mintage is Low compared to the first in the 20 for 20 coins of 200k but time will tell as always , I dont mind holding onto my 10 coins , maybe I will sell some if the price is right or I will just keep them to look at , no matter they will always hold their value at $100 Canadian. Then again if the dollar implodes then it might only be worth the amount of silver that's in the coin lol.

Quote: Dropped by the Vancouver boutique today and was told the bison is sold out. Forgot to ask if they will receive anymore or not. They still have the "chicken head" eagles. I have to admit they do look less like a chicken head in real life than from a picture Someone on the RFD forum mentioned the Vancouver Boutique will receive one more shipment next week. It will be the final shipment. Last week, the 600 coins they had sold out in 1 1/2 days.

I'm wondering if I should get more of the 100 for 100. Only have 2 right now. Part of me thinks it might be like the first 20 for 20 maple.

I think completing a couple of sets of the $100 wildlife in motion series (total of 5?) would be a challenge, since these tend to sell out so quickly. I would like to see the Mint come up with a classy collector display box to show these off, even as soon as the next release!

Lol I got almost 50 of these...Blocking off a lot of capital...but I think this will easily double just like the first 20 for 20. $150 should be the average selling price once everything settles... Saying that....I ended up seeing how things go by listing at $135 on ebay for now. Too bad the RCM doesn't give dealers a discount on the 20 for 20 or 100 for 100 :(

Just went to Vancouver Mint Boutique this morning.
$100 Bison coins were all gone last Friday.
Vancouver Mint Boutique tried to order more $100 Bison from Ottawa but was told totally SOLDOUT.

Ya the craziness is just starting...if you can get one for $115 to $120 somewhere right now your getting a deal because that price isn't going to last long.

Craziness? I do not think so.
Probably the craziness was "to get them for $100 as many as possible"
The coin available now at CA, CC&C and GW online stores for $115-$120 IMO, the price will raise, will set around CAD 150. The supply is too high. Many potential buyers look here on the silver content and it's price....
Btw, example: some of my friends (not collectors) in the 2011 knew that 20for20 Maples made of .9999 silver, and some people didn't know this. So the first group refused to buy the coin, explaining that the 1/4oz of silver doesn't worth $20. But the other group, didn't know nothing about silver content, spot...etc, they bought the coin, because saw in it variety of souvenir, looking just on the $20 FV.

OTOH, the supply is low compared to 200,000+. I doubt collectors or even the average Joe just bought one. More likely 2-3 each. Also, this coin isn't meant to flip but rather hold as an investment. It's viewed as silver vs. paper (exchange). They also make excellent gifts (graduation, wedding, B-days, etc.) and an impressive piece to pass on to the next generation. When viewed as "investments" they will be held long-term which leads to a rise in price. Because it is a series & has a theme, it is in a completely different rank than the $20 for $20 series....

And plus all the advantages of the coin (long time investment, FV, nice theme) - who will sell and to whom? If we for example bought 3 coins: one for collection, second as a gift and third as investment..... Together with all, I agree that the coin will accumulate some extra value.

This coin won't go up a lot. But at least no one will lose much since it has $100 fv.
