Not available now so I don't feel that bad that I ordered one for a bit of a premium. They say that some might be available at retail stores though.

So, is the published mintage suspect now, or are dealers getting little interest and cancelling bulk orders?

It was hard to believe they sold out 50k coins so fast. Maybe they didn't have them all ready or the dealers are cancelling massive orders.
Even now, the website doesn't say "Act Fast. 98% Sold Out!" or anything like that.

Probably some reps held some allocation and they just released them to the public.

It is "Awaiting Stock " again.
Well, it is "phone only" now, interesting.

Received my 3 today. The obverse finish is kind of a weird satiny-looking thing, but I like it. Nice coin overall, and the price was right! I think this will be a decent winner (~$150 or more) down the road.

My problem Pokermandude is that it does not live up to other "silver dollars" released in recent times such as the Grey Cup Dollar, the Seven Years War Dollar, etc. Just because we are "getting a deal", it doesn't justify a shoddy finish.

Anjohl; These Bison coins are in the same class as the $20 for $20 coins; to compare them to the Grey Cup coins is like comparing apples to oranges. Or its like comparing bullion to NCLT coins - they are both coins but serve a different purpose. These coins are not supposed to have such a nice finish.

Will agree with the rest of the statement, but disagree with this: Quote: These Bison coins are in the same class as the $20 for $20 coins The "$100 for $100" between "20 for 20" and usual 1oz Proof Issue. 100for100 way expensive to be similar to 20for20: It has nicer finish - not the Specimen like 20for20 More ditailization Lower mintage better presentation

It costs more than the SYW Dollar, the FV is irrelevant.

Quote: $100 is a large chunk to set aside - SA4H Well, my logic would be that almost any adult should have at least 3 months salary saved in readily accessible assets, spread between cash, precious metals, liquid stocks, etc. So from that point of view, putting $100 in a limited run numismatic release that has zero risk is viable.
