The silver duck numbers are inaccurate.
Each rep has held back a certain number for his/her allocations, to be released to the public after next Tuesday.
We cannot use the system to find out what is available until after next Tuesday.

I just figured it was almost sold out due to the subscriptions they had to fill out. But the coin itself is really nice, and I'm sure will not have a problem selling. The Impression coin looks interesting as well, but I wonder if I might be able to get it cheaper on ebay due to the 1 per household.

The duck is absolutely beautiful, affordable price, no taxes, low mintage and 1st of series sold out not only in RCM in almost all dealers.

For coins without a limit, you put in a large number like 999 into the cart, and see if they go through. If they all go into the cart, try a lower number, like maybe 500, if they they don't have a enough to fill your order, it will say insufficient quantity and give you a number like 647 (or whatever quantity they have left). Through this trial and order process you should be able to find out how many are left.

I meant taxes like in Bronze or Dino coin. 10,000 is not the "real mintage" ... I mean if we are talking about about possible sold out. From release automatically 5,000 go to all people who has the box, so left 5,000 less all dealers ... less all who bought the 1st coin to collect it ... it's not hard to have a sold out. 1st coin: Canada Post sold out Colonia Acres Sold out http://colonialacres.com/products.p...076&ref=1444Gatewest available 10$ up http://store.gatewestcoin.com/cgi/v...w84f&t=13386

Similar argument was made for the first silver duck. However, most of the completed sell on ebay realized price is around issue price (seller take a loss due to fee). I have 4 extra first silver duck that I want to unload but haven't put it up yet.... I have to agree that this design seemed better (more colorful)..... I don't expect it to be sold out pre-public release though. There will be some for public release (not much but there will be), just as the first silver duck (if I remembered right).

Being "sold out" does not translate into scarcity. The first Duck coin without the box is easy to find at issue price or a slight premium. Post offices have of lots of them. I just saw one last week. And again this time, should the Mint say, "awaitng stock", just order on line at Canada Post next week. The Post Office seem to get a large allotment of the duck coins.

I never really fell in love with the duck series. Maybe I just don't like colour coins. I like ones with a little more history behind them like the bank note series.

Well, if the silver Wood Duck really is nearly sold out--and it may not be as scarce as it seems because of apparently holding back some for public release--then I'm glad I got the silver ducks subscription. Will still have to get the 25 cent Wood Duck, but it's much less likely to sell out prior to general public release. Tuesday, you say? Guess I know what I'm doing that day--can just hear my credit card screaming!

Hi to all who commented:
I just want to clarify my point. I didn't say that if you buy the silver duck coin and you sell it tomorrow you will be millionaire or not even that you should invest on it.
Someone asked about which coins will be the first ones in being sold out in this new release and most people talked about the Dyno, the maple leaf, etc so I just added that according to me, the duck silver coin will sold out very quickly and I think I was right.
Now, having said that, I do believe that in a long term period the value of these coins will go up (even without the box).
