Darth Morgan Pillar of the Community United States 2815 Posts	Posted 08/22/2013 09:53 am Yesterday I told my dad that I was sending in the 1879-S Morgan for grading. I stated earlier that this was the first Morgan he purchased for his collection when he was stationed in Okinawa. Come to find out that it was actually the 1878-S. Darth Morgan Pillar of the Community United States 2815 Posts	Posted 08/23/2013 10:38 am A minor shipping update: I thought it was kind of funny that the scheduled delivery date is 8-22, yet it was processed through Memphis at 3:00 PM on the 22nd. Darth Morgan Pillar of the Community United States 2815 Posts	Posted 08/26/2013 8:20 pm Latest update: The package was delivered to NGC this morning: So, it took 6 days to get there, which is to be expected with the extra handling involved. I checked my order status on NGC's website, but it isn't showing anything yet. I'm expecting to see this updated in their system tomorrow. I also received my Associate Member packet today too. I took pictures of the contents for anyone who is curious, especially new collectors or those considering joining. Sometime in the future plan on joining. So it is good to know that I will want to get the packet before sending my coins in. Of course I will have to pick some good coins to send in. Darth Morgan Pillar of the Community United States 2815 Posts	Posted 08/27/2013 11:31 am Here is my ORDER STATUS screen as of today: My package was delivered yesterday, but since I selected the economy tier (21 working days), the "no order history found" status may be there for a few days. We'll see. Hopefully, others who plan to send in coins for the first time will get an idea of what to expect based on my first experience with this process. Report this Post to the Staff
JJHFL Valued Member United States 395 Posts	Posted 08/27/2013 1:27 pm You are spot on (in case you were starting to get nervous)... Items I have sent in via lower grade tiers take a few days to show up in the system after they receive it. Usually only shows in their system by the next day if you did an express tier or above. Side note (since this thread is more for people learning about the process), if you do send in at an express tier, dont forget to write "EX" in big bold letters on the outside of your package.
