Yeah, that's what I love about the tracking feature. I didn't pay the extra fees for photos, but I thought that NGC photographed every coin. At least that's what it said in the video on their site.

They do photograph every coin... This one confused me at first too. I never pay for the photo feature, so not sure what "extras" it may include, but once you get the coins back and have the certification number off of the slab, you can look up the cert number on the NGC site and the photos will be there. Bummer is you wont have the cert number until the coins are back to you... at least I have never found the cert numbers on the online invoice, only inside the package when it arrived back to me.

Quote: Bummer is you wont have the cert number until the coins are back to you... the cert numbers are easy to figure out... Invoive number-xxx, with xxx being the row on the invoice. So 123456-001 is your first coin, 002 your 2nd and so on.. At least that's how I figured out to see the pictures of a 1916-d merc I submitted to heritage.

You guys nailed it! LOL! Yeah, I'm a huge zombie film freak. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of World War Z. I'm also a huge fan of 70s and 80s horror. Thanks for the info on photos and certification numbers. I'll have to try looking them up based on that formula. If it worked for you it should work for me. Looking forward to trying that out.

I thought I would do a quick update showing my coin list on NGC's website. I noticed that for the Washington quarter, they have the mint mark with the year under the YEAR column and SILVER under the mint mark column. I'm guessing the term "SILVER" should be under the Variety/Pedigree column? Will this have any impact on its label when the time comes for encapsulation, or will this be corrected at some point in the grading process?

For the quarter its probably a spacing thing for why the S is there. It will be next to the year on the label anyway and for those it will say silver on the label

I am curious also, for this update.
And a coin a LCS sent in. NGC must be running slow right now

Yeah, the status still says "scheduled for grading". The economy option is the cheapest, but it also requires your patience. I'm checking it every day, though. Getting anxious. . . . :-)

DM, I recently got caught up on your NGC adventure. It will be interesting to find out the end results. I like NGC for a number of reasons; their holder, the images they take (although not necessarily the best ones taken), of just about every coin (there are some out there that are not available for one reason or another). Hoping for the best!
