Cue the theme from The Godfather... I was "made and offer that I couldn't refuse"...

Stopped in at my local coin shop a couple of months ago. They gave me a new Dansco...

Their only stipulation was that I buy a few coins to fill some of the holes. I bought 4 coins that day, and I've managed to fill 8 other holes since then. I don't keep receipts, but I know I haven't spent more than $27 on any single coin so far.

I'm hoping to pick up a couple of coins per month when my budget allows it. Here's what I have so far.

Great start - well done! I have been trying to get a Morgan for each date and now have only two gaps - 1893 and 1895! My interest in these coins started when friends in the USA sent me an 1882o and a 1921s back in the late 1970s when I was in my teens.

Looks nice. I'm down to 6 for this set. Hopefully I can be down to 2 by the end of the year, then save a while for the 93' and 95'

Great job. I have been working on this set for about 15 months now. I am down to just 2 coins in the set. 1893 and 1895. I am like you and have bought all mine for a lower cost and there in lower grades. I may try and update them someday, been then again I will just be happy to complete a set. Aren't those Dansco Albums nice!! :)
