I also need to add that they had quite a bit of replica coins for sale.

I'm looking through the 50 cent coins and they have a replica 1932 priced at $35.00

Replicas are being pumped out of china for like $2.00 now-days

I guess CA still doesn't know it's 14 years for possession, importing, manufacturing, selling. Even if the customer knows what they are buying.

I have squared off with Colonial acres about selling fakes in the past. This will not be tolerated AGAIN!!! I am asking the RCMP to confiscate and lay charges (precedent setting), I am approaching CAND for a reaction as well as the RCNA!! They apparently are not the sharpest sticks in the bundle. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Yeah, a purchase of one of the copies with a receipt stating what they sold would be nice to have. Need some proof for court?

Curious where they are moving to

From their website: "Starting in October, we will be at our new location down the street at 991 Victoria Street North (across from Tim Hortons & Home Hardware)"

Hopefully someone can confirm whether or not they are selling fakes. That is a pretty serious claim and in my eyes, hurts the reputation of any coin dealer.

Hello Everyone:

In light of the following statements from this customer I would like to make everyone aware that there is clearly some misunderstanding on behalf of this customer.
We as the Owners have communicated with all our employees working this past Saturday and questions them in regards to these accusations and all seemed to be very concerned that they were all untrue except the discussion about Soccer game a few employees shared while working together out front serving the customers in the shop at the time.

In regards to the Silver rates, we have these listed live online for everyone to see, there is no "bogus" made up numbers, we all use a pre-set price sheet that is controlled by current spot rates. This past Saturday 1oz Silver Maple leafs were retailing between $29.75-30.25/oz based on Quantity purchased. Yes specialty issues and various world silver issues sell at a premiums, which are all listed online.

2013 1oz Silver Pandas are $40.75 NOT $65.00 as he stated!
2013 1oz Britannia's are $35.65/oz NOT $60.00 as he Stated!
2013 1oz Silver Eagles are Sold out so we would never have quoted on these. Where did he get $40?

Our Employee taking care of this lady even went as far to recommend that if she is only looking for a silver investment not to purchase the more "novelty type" products that are priced at higher premiums, rather just stick to plain Silver Maple leafs or Bars.

In regards to his accusation that we tore a sticker off a 1947 ML 1-cent and switched it to $24.00 and that the ink was still wet. I looked in the Camera's that are clearly positioned throughout our storefront, the coin he picked out was never touched by an employee from the time he picked it out and left the store. He Actually left the bundle of 2x2's here with the Coin when he said he forgot his wallet and never came back for them. The 1947 Penny was NOT a Maple Leaf it was a Plain 7 in BU condition with a Carbon Line on the Obverse. It was still priced at the original $12 and was indeed from the half price Bin due to the flaw on the obverse.

In regards to the 20% off sign being removed, Again this customer is wrong. The sign is still out front taped to the supply shelf. None of the employees working while he was here left the employee side of the counter. Again We have video Proof that he can come view at any time for re-assurance that this was not removed.

The customer realised he did not have his wallet and left the items he picked out here and never returned. Again, he claims when he came back in prices were switched, but he never returned back to the store after leaving to " run out to get his wallet" It seems this customer had other intentions with this complaint as almost everything mentioned is false and or exaggerated and can be proven with video. (He entered the store at 10:23am and left at 10:56am)

We appreciate everyone who shops with us here at Colonial Acres and as most of you can appreciate that his statements and accusations DO NOT sound like anything that anyone here at Colonial Acres Coins would ever do. (Except talk about the Soccer Game  )

For any Questions or concerns regarding this please feel free to contact us and we can discuss it further in Person.

Can you please elaborate on the statements made concerning the replicas of Canadian coins?

Just out of curiousity, have you guys upgraded your cameras yet? It's my understanding that the video quality is very poor, and you are in the midst of upgrading them.

hello jg86:

Yes our Camera System is totally being re-done with all new HD Camera's with great Zoom Qualities.
The Cameras we have now are great for surveillance and can clearly show the details needed to show that these accusations are not true. (I.E, the 20% off sign on our supply shelf never moved, the customer left the store and never came back, the items he picked out were set on a desk for him and stayed these till Monday morning.. ect..)
Hope this helps :)
