@tristen1230:

How do you know the price for this gold superman coin will keep going up?
Per my calculation, this gold superman coin can only break even if you purchase at releasing price plus tax.

Time will tell how many people really want to keep this coin as their collection for life.

Yunbo, it's all depend. Thos in U.S purchase these without Tax from the mint. Also dealers purchased these at discount rate. Those in BC only pay one tax. But if you are anywhere else in Canada trying to flip this now, you are not making much as you are buying it at $850 and selling on ebay with paypal = +13% of fee.

Tristen is basing it on the fact that there are only 2000 of these and he predicted there are a lot more than 2000 folks that wants it.

I visited my local PO so see some Superman coins by myself.

The do have some: "The man of Steel" and the Hologramm coin.

In my opinion only - the Hologram not impressive at all.
Looks like "blind" coin - frosted Superman (that does look like "silver surfer") on some kind of gray surface. If you tilt the coin and will try to observe it from different angle - the gray will change to orange-purple-violet. Metropolis - something schematic.
Didn't like.

Another thing, that I've been told- they do ready to order for me the gold Superman coin. I not sure (for some reason) that they will be able to fulfill such order, and since I wasn't interested, so just thanked and stepped out.

Very Nice!! Thanks for sharing Panda!
Congrats on your purchase.

I have to say, I'm very impressed with RCM stepping up their packaging. I hope this is the beginning of a growing trend.......

Packaging? Yes, this year (even previous) they started to do the colorful external box.

But these crystal clear presentation boxes - I think (and hope) for Superman coins only. This is additional way to make the coins unique.

Thanks, Panda, for sharing. Nice coin.
I still think, that it more suitable for Superman collector (the picture from the first issue) - doesn't it just painted?

@ Silveroid.

This box looks different than the beauty boxes I've seen recently. Also, doesn't look like this has the plastic/acrylic case.

Panda, maybe you can confirm?
It looks to me like the top of the box folds over the entire coin/box and it's printed on the inside with the Superman image.
That's a nice step up in packaging.
I'd like to see an overall step up in packaging.
Maybe not emulate this Superman release but get rid of that darn boring maroon case, PLEASE!!

SoulBrother, you correct here.
I though, that you speak about all other (silver) Superman coins in the acrylic case.

So in overall those cases very nice. External design and presentation.
But take a look at this box - isn't it "cardboard made"?
I may mistake, but if not - I do not want cardboard boxes from RCM.

Thats one thing I don't understand with the gold coin, why the heck didn't they put it in a display case like the other 1 oz sliver coins? I would think it would be the first inline to have one of those nice Acrylic display cases....

Nice btw Panda....I have one on order..
