I used to make similiar when I was a kid, train tracks and machine shop were awesome! First time I have seen an ICCS error certificate? Excepting of course rotated dies.

ok so I am new to coin collecting, this would be my first show. I am not from toronto, does anyone know a cheap place to stay near the show? and is there grading booths there? I have a few varieties and coins I want checked out, is it worth it? Thanks in advance.

There are lots of hotels in the area. Cheap all depends on your budget. Check out priceline.com or hotels.ca. This would be a GREAT show for you to attend. The show gets better and better every year, and this year is no exception with the inclusion of some education symposiums. As far as grading booths, I don't think any of the grading companies will have a booth there, But there will be plenty of dealers who will gladly help you identify your coins for you. This will be well worth your trip I CANT WAIT!!

NEWS RELEASE - Toronto Coin Expo - Sept 28, 2013 Is Your Coin Fake? - Canadian Counterfeit Coins, A Reality Since money was first invented it has been counterfeited. The Toronto Coin Expo and the Canadian Association for Numismatic Education is pleased to announce a free educational seminar for all show attendees, in the hope that they will be better able to spot a counterfeit Canadian coins and prevent themselves and others from being defrauded. On Saturday October 5, 2013, join Canada's foremost expert and 4-time award winning counterfeit opponent Mike Marshall. Mike has had success on numerous fronts combating the influx of counterfeit coins into Canada, and has aided the RCMP, ebay and many other organizations to combat against counterfeit Canadian coins. The topics will include the law as interpreted by the RCMP, contemporary counterfeits of common coins, as well and most importantly the modern counterfeits which are designed to act as replica coins but are often used to represent the real thing. Mr. Mat St. Marie, Country Product Manager of ebay Canada, will also be on hand to brief the attendees as to ebay policy and the handling of counterfeit Canadian coin auctions on the popular website. This hands-on seminar will show how deceptive these coins and bullion products are, and this will be the first time in Canada they will be shown to the public for what they are - counterfeits. I remember Mike before he got famous... he drank rum, smoked like a chimney, and cursed like a sailor....  I think this will be an awesome seminar. I really hope it draws out some of the newspaper folks, because it needs to get beyond our numismatic circles, before it catches the attention of someone important to do something about it...
