MCM has 5 oz. Mt. Rushmore for $140 & Ft. McKinley 5 oz for about $143. Hard to put out almost 4x more for RCM 5 oz coin. Even with Canadian shipping charges, you could get both for easily under the cost of 1 RCM 5 oz (minus the maroon case that nobody seems to like.) Now they will keep prices high and some coins will get a cardboard container. Will RCM ever go back to a nice wood holder, at least for sets? They have gotten into the make Wall Street smile & moon the customers. After writing this I think I will order both of the US 5 oz. & forget about 2014 guilded Maple Leaf set for $23 more.

IMO, the US have done a good job by issuing a 5oz ATB and their prices. Unfortunately, they are BU coins (just imagine how beautiful can be the Proof finish on them) and the mintage (is very high?) not as numismatic, but as bullion edition.

well here is everyone's opportunity to tell the mint of their displeasure with the cheap cardboard boxes that they are switching to. Just don't subscribe to any of the new series, they will know why, and take a minute to send an email to the mint telling them why you won't be buying the new series. It started to upset me with the Grizzly coin box, and I have no intention of buying any new series in a cardboard box..

Did that earlier today. BTW the Caribou and Polar bear 1 oz are already on ebay for anyone who hasn't seen them yet.

My math was off but total was $282.34 total so about $33 over cost of 2014 MLS. Many of these 5 oz bullion ATB coins have been graded proof-like & mintages have not reached max allowed before minting ended. I like these better than the collector versions offered by the US Mint. I'm really getting tired of RCM going cheaper packaging & yet sticking it to customers with high prices. Delay in delivery is a turn-off & US has just signed IT agreement to service customers better. RCM needs better delivery on their products & screw the cardboard BS. RCM has great coins but poor pricing & delivery.

Refuse to do another subscription. they still owe me some 1/2 oz coins and the wooden box.
I'll buy the 2nd dino and 2nd banknote later when it goes on sale. The fighting bison looks nice but out of my price range. Might just pick up on of each of the polar bear and caribou.

1st Bank note coin was ugly IMO. The St George & Dragon to get was the 1 oz silver one that RM put out in honor of Prince George birth.

FYI I incorrectly identified one of the ATB 5 oz silver coins: Ft. McHenry (when Star Spangled Banner was written) & the other was Mt. Rushmore (showing George Washington & Thomas Jefferson being sculpted) US's greatest leaders IMO.

Fast sell-outs are anticipated for the following coins: the 5 oz. Swimming Beaver, the Caribou, the Iconic Polar Bear, and the Bank Note Saint George Slaying the Dragon.
The rep is just trying to sell you coins. None of them are "hot". The first bank note coin is still not sold out; why would it be any different for the 2nd? Colonial Acres has a whole bunch of 5 oz coins selling for below issue price. I am a bit wary of shelling out $519 for a coin with little chance of appreciation in price. Yeah, it's true, I was just "forwarding" his statement. Anyway, I heard here or in the other forum several days ago that the 2nd first Bank coin could be hot because of the "dragon" ... I don't know. Is not possible a 2nd coin series becoming hot when the 1st one is still available?

on the last show of the coin show, he said they commissioned 3 coins next month, the 5 oz. beaver looks like the previous beaver coin, it will sell out quick but coin is a bad design in my opinion. Not sure which are the two other coins they commissioned.

Thanks, guys, for mentioning ebay. The design of iconic animals is good, but... Polar Bear - reuse of the gold coin design, which isn't bad and the paint....it reminds me two things: or bullion edition coins, coloured by third party or Perth Mint coloured coins, usually minted with Niue denominations. Nice, but not for my taste.

Anyone looking for the 2013 Gold plated O´Canada series? IMO this is insane to increase the Price from 40 to 75$ by just adding the ultrathin border of Gold around the coin.... and you have to buy all at one time! They look good though - still no buy from my side

If you are Master club (MC) member, you should see it soemtime today. I think it has been late in the afternoon for the last few releases. If you are just a normal member, you will see it next Tuesday. Someone correct me if I am wrong
