1962 LMC With Some Serious Issues

OK, the 1962 bag is done, and the last "prize" which was found today kind of baffles me.

I found this one by pure luck on this pass. I have concentrated mainly the date on the first pass, and found two potential DDO's a weird triple 6'ed damaged cent and now this one.

I look into the microscope the coin was pointing towards In God We Trust. It looked WIERD. OH, there is a lamination error? Wait...It was sticking straight up towards the microspore camera. I had to bend it down to get a better shot.



How does a penny that looks like this maintain the Thin Lamination piece inside, without falling off for over 51 years?

So I look over IGWT and I started laughing. No wonder this has a lamination issue.....





I looked closely at the next picture. After the word WE (whats left to it)...it LOOKS like I see a backwards "IN".... maybe my eyes are playing tricks with me, but its possible...one of the pictures shows what appears to be a possible rim-line near that area. It makes me wonder if there was another cent in the same general area when this one was struck.



Then, the "WE TRUST" has this pit... hard to describe.





Only the front appears damaged
