On ebay UK you have to pay 50p extra to list an item with a 'Buy It Now' price. So the seller has already paid 50 times the value of this coin to list it on ebay. FYI - 1971 was the year the UK introduced decimal currency, and an incredible 1,521,666,250 pennies were minted, making them the most common UK coin ever issued.
