Yes, I understand that these type of Non-Error coins rarely are sold....but unfortunately they do. With the seller not having any ill feelings or conscious of getting one over on someone else. Oftentimes the buyers have zero knowledge of Numismatics and are purchasing a gift for a friend or family member that is a collector. Here is a very good example from the same seller as to either the lack of knowledge in Numismatics or is knowingly describing common coins with certain key words to give the impression that the coin is of a higher value. I lean more towards the latter due to the seller showing they have at least a slight bit of knowledge due to the terminology used and ability to notice small detail among the devices of the coins....and therefore would know how and or where to research the Rarity, Error, Variety, or Damage. https://www.ebay.com/itm/285283979786 |

That was one of the listings in my earlier post regarding this seller.....I want to know how does putting a coin in a fire make it "Very Very Rare"? It looks like most of the trash "Error" and "Very Rare" listings from that seller have been removed....only a matter of time before he/she has more for us to laugh at. |

These are really ripoff listings. Unethical? Absolutely. Within ebay's rules? Yes. As long as what you are selling isn't counterfeit, or live animals/Nazi paraphernalia, ebay lets you slide. "Caveat Emptor" means you have to be wise enough to know what you are buying. Resources like the Red Book and the Standard Catalog of World Coins are invaluable in this regard. If you don't like ripoff artists, you can always block their listings. |

Embargoed goods policy What is the policy? Sellers can't list embargoed goods or pre-embargoed goods from these countries or regions: Cuba Crimea, Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) regions of Ukraine (as defined under applicable sanctions) Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) Iran Syria It's the "pre-embargoed goods" clause that really sticks in my craw.
