I guess you can admire the skill that was demonstrated there, while cringing in abject horror from the result...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1852-3-CENT...2520175031891852 3 CENT SILVER,VERY OLD & RARE,SMALLEST COIN EVER MINTED,FOR COLLECTORS It's not that rare (18M minted) It's not the smallest coin ever minted, it's not the smallest minted by the US that goes to the Type 1 gold $1 at 13mm It's DEFINITELY not for a collector And the listing never mentions the hole filled with what looks like old chewing gum.

I think I would offer 2 cents for that 3 cent. I probably could not even spend it at the store! LOL

I think that 3 cent might be rare in that condition.

I have seen worse. I cannot believe I said that with a straight face. Actually, I did not. You cannot see my face.

This thread almost makes me consider starting a PUKE collection.
I could take that collection to auctions, show it to my fiercest competitors before the bidding begins and they would all be in the bathroom when the auction started!

How in the world can this be graded an MS-64 with that kind of damage> Makes no scene to me. Its not an error to me its a damaged coin, I guess the doubling makes it the error, I still don't agree with the MS-64 grading. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PCGS-10c-20...151701997380

I REALLY like that coin. The feeder finger broke off and was struck! That is sooo cool.

Even without doubling, I would still class this as an error. It's difficult from the photos to decide what MS grade to give it but certainly I think I might agree to MS60 details until I saw the coin.
Very unusual error !
