I see your group lot arrived. I do enjoy the details on the obverse of this coin. He looks every bit a general with this bust.

Rather nice - surely London not Lyon though?

My hopes were for London attribution. I looked through my Sear volume IV and nearly went blind. Attributing folli has never been a talent of mine ! Sear 14040 seemed to be the match. Right legends, right bust type,no mint mark or officina and no marks in field.
But I will trust an expert (Bobby) if they can come up with another ID !

There was an identical coin (titulature, breaks, bust etc) made at Lyon (RIC VI Lyons 21, 295-296AD) which I'm guessing corresponds with Sear 14040. Without pictures it would be very difficult to discount so don't beat yourself up.

London however issued two coins with the exact same attributes a few years later, RIC VI London 16 from about 300AD and RIC VI London 37a from about 303AD. Yours is the later showing a large head and a small neck. It also has a nice aquiline nose (large bridge) often seen on the London coins of around this time.

Its a nice example and would have been among the last coins to describe Constantius as a Caesar. You picked up a nice lot last week

What you are saying makes some sense to me. I have a few Constantine London mint and they do seem to have an 'interesting' sort of nose also. I will dig them out later for comparison.
