Counterfeit 1922 No D Lincoln Cent Pay close attention to this counterfeit and make sure to familiarize yourself with the diagnostics of genuine examples.   This fake was struck by counterfeit dies, there are undoubtedly many more like it please be careful. |

Can you believe somebody bid on this. ebay Counterfeit PCGS AU58 1874-CC US Trade dollarPCGS forgery sellers will often white out the certification numbers in an effort to hamper research. This in itself will typically get the item removed by eBays T&S.But did it no Item Location: North York, Ontario, Canada Bidding at C $455.00(Approximately US $467.39) via 11 bids at time of post.   |

This whole thread has gotten me to think harder about the ever present "collect what you like" and to that I would add "not what others tell you to like". Following this one "rule" could save you heart-ache, especially if you're only in this hobby to invest. Value shoots up if many people are interested, but if you find a little niche that no one has exploited then chances are there are very few fakes.
And really study hard to become an expert in the field you like most.

Been very busy. I just stumbled across this. Great info for anyone collecting slabbed coins.
I've been working on counterfeit gold bars and reporting to proper authorities.
