Quote:If the butterfly coin is barely holding original value with lower mintage, what would make this coin more popular with higher mintage and a lack of interest in all recent RCM offerings. The piedfort 2013 coin, mc were limited to 1 coin, 7500 mintage, now Silvertown is selling for 80.00 Practically every recent RCM offerings have tanked. The SML with WMF privy also have 7500 mintage and you could find them on ebay for $80 or less. But the frog coin would appeal more to the general public than the WMF privy coin or piedfort coin. Most people don't even know what a peidfort is but everyone know what a frog is.

All the people here is saying that this coin will be a sold out in just 1 day...... sure it will but that has nothing to do with the price in secondary market. Many coins have been sold out quickly and in the secondary market you found it at issue price from the beginning.

Not this coin. Coins like the piedfort and WMF sold out rapidly but those coins have limited appeal to the general public. People are not going to line up for a WMF coin. Yes, it may settle to issue price eventually, but not right away.

One word : speculation. When 90% of the people says this coin will break the wall, it's obviously a big case of speculation... I think it's like playing at a casino betting to making big profit with coins, all I have to say is good luck for those who try to... And those people when they do money they fill lots of posts to tell us that they are doing lots lots lots of money... But when they lose, we don't really see them...

Have to disagree partially. Sometimes we see posts like "dude of the year" And speculation already started with the first listings of this coin asking twice issue price. And again, everyone free to make money his own way, and the "speculation" exact word on such business. (this is not the same as "dealer" and "retailer"). Added: This amazing must to have coin already "sold-out" at the CP. They do not take orders even by the Catalog Number.... Dow does mint expect that average collector will enjoy 10+ coins?

Only 500? Where did you get this information from? 500 for thousands of post offices is not much.
