With each new coin the craftsmanship will be refined. Maybe some when we will see on top of the coin the glass figurine of the Fox with puppy in their cozy burrow.

Quote: Yes, I know the Glass Ladybug is 5000 mintage. He said the frog on a coin was not serious and I countered that with the example of a bug on a coin. I am not suggesting the frog coin will sell for $800 but it will be a popular coin that will sell out quickly. Blah, I heard all this before with the butterfly coin which you now can get for $150 and had less mintage...getting tired of all the hype on the Mints coins , I think they are in for a big surprise on their NCLT coin sales this year.

Going to the PO on Thursday to order my frogs! I'm curious how big the frog will be. It looks really big on the pic! This is the coolest one yet!

I'll be interested to see the coin in person. At the end of the day, you will have flippers and people who collect for the heck of collecting.

It may be hype to you but I was in the lineup outside the Vancouver Mint Store for the butterfly coin. The lineup was down the block. No other coin had such a lineup. Actually the butterfly coin is doing not too bad on ebay: This one went for $182: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CANADA-2013...em2ecf93fd15Another went for $219: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canada-20-P...em3f2fb71cdbI do agree with you that most NCLT coins do not do very well. This coin will probably be the only hit this year.

Do not understand me wrong, I believe, people just turned around and decided to get one, or live in the area and preferred boutique as the best source. From other hand, just from curiosity, in comfortable chair, in 3 minutes I ordered it online, not from RCM (it obvious), but from the CC&C and got it fast for issue price. The ebay sales? Again wrong source. The same people could buy mine (the same from CC&C) for issue price - I just lazy to publish it. But I agree - the Frog will be quickly sold out. Dealers, flippers, collectors...And probably after some period the price will be dropped as for the GB. Like the Bumble Bees, the Frogs will be "thin" and "thick"

If the limit is 3 for example, and I buy three of those hoping that the price will go up on the secondary market, and then if it hits 200$ (it's just an example) and I say, good, I make profit so I sell the 2 sample I have and kept one for me... Suppose I'm not the only one who do this thing and the maket get saturated and the price drop to 175$ on the secondary market and after 3- months, you can grab it for 150$... I think this scenario will concur, with a mintage of 12 500, there will be always a seller who want to sell his coin... The Ladyug was the one to grab in this series... Even at 800$, I think the Ladybub fair value is 500$ and you'll be able to grab it for this price in a couple years... Look at the 2000 Bluenose Canada (hologram coin - 20$), I remember seeing this coins sold for 300$, and now you can have it easily for 150$... Bluenose + Hologram (new technology in 2000 on a coin) was the hype, just like venetian glass on a coin at this time... Everything is relative to the popularity at this time, but with years, everything come back to a fair value...

I believe these will sell out in the first day of the MC release. Apparently a large chunk of these coins has been alloted to dealers in the States.

People who do not have a MC account or do not have time to visit local post offices can try to order directly from the Post Office. The Post Office sell coins through the National Philatelic Centre. Their phone number is 1-800-565-465-4362.

I would like to know if people have any luck ordering through this method.

CanadaPost isn't taking orders... we used to be able to order before MC release with them, but they closed that loophole last year with the Butterfly, when a lot of people were complaining.

If the butterfly coin is barely holding original value with lower mintage, what would make this coin more popular with higher mintage and a lack of interest in all recent RCM offerings. The piedfort 2013 coin, mc were limited to 1 coin, 7500 mintage, now Silvertown is selling for 80.00.

Because it is the one coin a year that a lot of people wait for even if they don't collect many coins you can't find any previous coins in the series at issue price now so it must be popular.
