As you always say, it's a crown corp With a mostly unionized workforce, no one ever loses their job, they just get reassigned or promoted.

for those who didnt hit issue price on the gold I think the prices on ebay presales are about as good as they will get right now.....i doubt whether the dealers will start them as low as they did the first time ..my guess is 1500.00.....and its apparent that this new superman release is pretty much soldout except for superman 419........I wonder how long the post office release will last?

You can't call, you have to go to a Post office and order on by direct ship. you pay there and get it in a week.

Most favored MC got a phone call from their rep a few days before the C email
Even though the limit is 1, I was told that the limit could be overridden for a few MCs.

Quote: think they blew that one out of the water this time. Members with reps got e-mails in the middle of the night. Within 8 hours, the coins were available on-line for all MC. Non-MC could call in and order. So not only did the MC w/ rep not get the usual day or so advance notice, regular MC got virtually no advance ordering period. The only difference I see is that MC w/ reps got an e-mail earlier whereas others didn't. But, and this is huge. MC w/ reps only had access to the allocation of their particular rep. So if the rep sold his allocation, you were put on a waiting list. Meanwhile, others were ordering on-line and/or calling in orders and getting confirmations. That tells me that having a rep was actually a disadvantage this time around. What a joke. If this was a coin that I wanted and my rep put me on a waiting list while the coin was available on line, I would be extremely upset. I've never seen much of an advantage of ordering though him anyway (just as easy to do it on-line) but at least in the past it hasn't been a hindrance. A new bungling first for the RCM! If I were a mint rep, I'd expect to see my job eliminated very soon since they are now redundant I was one of those who received an email in the middle of the night. Actually I lived in Vancouver so it was only about 11:00 pm. I sent my order 5 minutes later. I thought I got one for sure since it was late and most people were sleeping. I got placed on a waiting list instead. The most galling thing is, someone who also lives in Vancouver, sent in his order at the SAME time as I did and received a confirmation order when he awoke. He got a different rep. It seems to depend on who your rep is. Some seem to work harder than others. There was another guy on RFD who had a rep who found a gold coin for him in the afternoon. The funny thing is the rep I have is called a "Senior" representative. My guess is a junior rep is more likely to work harder to get a commission than a senior one who sits on his laurels.

There must be several tiers of RCM members. 1. Regular RCM members 2. MC members 3. MC members with reps 4. Most favoured MC members with reps, who spend $10,000 a year on coins. I guess when you are a most favoured MC member, they call YOU, you don't call them.

So will MoneyPenney going to try Canada Post on Sep 2nd?
Each CP outlet will be allowed to direct order only one Superman Gold Coin.
Just went to Vancouver Mint Boutique one hour ago, staff told me that numerous phone calls came in yesterday and today enquiried about New Superman Gold Coin.
It will be a tough fight to grab one from boutique's scarce inventory during release in September.

What is the limit to order through Canada Post Direct Ship? Is it 1 per household or 1 per location?

Justsilver, do you know what time Direct Ship orders go through? Because Vancouver is 3 hours behind Eastern Canada and no post offices are opened at 5:00 am in Vancouver. If orders start at 8:00 am Eastern time that mean all of them will be sold before BC people get a chance at them.

For some reason started "to have bad feelings" about gold SM coin. It has a low mintage....correct, but seems, that in this case, the target group of this coin "SM fans coin collectors" just full of Super Man. And mainly it has been hoarded for resale. Like a Bateman's Bull Moose silver coin - went "awaiting stock" in one day, but after it, every dealer and CP had these coins for issue. Just was offered for this coin with issue + 100 and afraid to buy....

Quote: @ MoneyPenney...same thing happened to me and I feel the same as you do. Just out of curiosity can you fire me off an email, I want to see if we have the same rep. Send note to staff darryldarryl, you need to change your settings to accept emails, right now it says you are not receiving emails. Anyway, my rep's initials are C.H.
