I know. Sometimes you just scratch your head. How can all of their dealers have coins, and yet they seem to have none.

Today is the "Toronto Coin Expo" Dealers will be loaded with the Superman gold coins. So go there, and just offer to the people lower in $50 than dealer's price - you'll have line of buyers

My gold Superman finally arrived from the mint today and it's a beauty! In fact this coin is stunning! There are a few Howevers: - I was not notified the coin had been shipped. - As of last night my order showed it was still in "processing". - This morning my credit card had only been authorized, not posted for the charge. - The package was supposed to be signed for according to the tracking number on the box. However somebody responsible for indicating that a signature was required failed to do so on the address label (the mint? or Canada Post?). -So the coin was just left in my mailbox, coming as a complete surprise. Luckily, we were home at the time. Hats off to my favourite Crown Corporations for such responsible and reliable service!

Thanks to people on other forum for revealing some ebay sales: the recent lowest price for Superman 4-coin set was $1375 recent lowest price for Superman gold coin was $999 the theme looses popularity...seems like this, and the Mint haven't shipped all the coins yet. Might be it some RCM tactics to warn people against resale and hold the coins till period, when they will be not hot?

Do we really need a play by play - minutes up to minute updates of whose coin got shipped and who credit card has been processed...?

I enjoy reading who is expecting or receiving their coins. It gives me an opportunity to share in the excitement of coins I didn't order myself. I feel it's a way of a collector sharing their personal experience of this great hobby. Plus it only takes a minute or less to read. A long with these posts some cool pics are posted. This enables other collectors to experience the coin through different eyes, since each photo has differences in presentation.

Congrats Numoose... Sincerely!! Just me always tuning into the forum for perhaps a little more substance... Not meant to shoot down anybody's thrill in receiving a coveted item. Would welcome more of why you and all others seek out what you do.. I can say this much about Superman - Given its Canadian connection we can expect a huge annual release of this comic hero from here on... And more so, the fact that a historical, highly reputable national mint will be pumping them out gives these SM coins a significant advantage over any other "novelty" producing coin producer especially if the company is privately owned like New Zealand's (for instance). In other words, Superman coinage with its Canadian connection, produced by Canada's RCM, by default, retains a ritual purity or authenticity that will serve to preserve a long term firmer collectable or numismatic value to them. Enjoy...all!!

Quote:Sorry if this is a stupid question but can we expect any batman coins soon from the canadian Royal Mint? Its highly doubtful that they will have Batman coins unless they can find a substantive link to Canada. Canada was able to issue Superman Coins because the co-creator, Joe Shuster, was born in Canada. As far as I know there is no such link to Canada. After saying that, who knows? Since Superman is teaming up with Batman in a upcoming movie, maybe they will have a coin with Batman and Superman together.
