I do not see any dramatic price drop on 2014 Superman Gold Coin on ebay.com

Recent sold prices on ebay were around USD$1,150+ ( = CAD$1,250 + )

The ebay not influenced by local sales.
On the ebay will prefer to sell established sellers, and not occasional flippers. Too much effort : to send expensive item, potential fraud from the buyer's side, the money will be on account not immediately, to create ebay account etc....

So the prices are good on ebay, while locally, weird stuff:
the lowest price was CAD 869, while seller was ready to sell coin and capsule only for this price
and the $900 already sold

Interesting.

What a price difference between selling on ebay and selling locally.

I am occasional seller on ebay ( sold less than 10 items on ebay for past 10 years )

But gained nice profit on Zeus & Poseidon ( Sold for USD$1000 with cost CAD$380 ) and Disney Steamboat Gold coins ( Sold for USD$1000 with cost USD$620 ). All transactions went through fine without any hassle from ebay buyers.

Never dealt locally but going to try in near future.

ebay will sell for higher, but gotta consider all the fees and stuff, which will run you around 16% first 10% gone to ebay, then 3% to paypal, then 3% from USD to CAD. Plus the risk packaging sending out item and so on, so for me to sell superman coin on ebay, there should be atleast $250-$350 more than local, which isn't the c ASE

Well, despite the stuff going on with the sales - the coin is nice.

When the 2013 The Shield and 2014 Gold placed together - I believe it very nice "Shields" pair.

As far as I know

ebay is charging 9% fee on numismatic coins + 3% Paypal ( credit card processing fee ) = 12% fee if listing with Canadian Dollar.

ebay is charging 6% fee on numismatic coins if seller has ebay Store ( minimum $16 monthly fee ) + 3% Paypal fee = total 9% fee.

If seller doesn't want to pay USD/CAD conversion fee, just simply ask Canadian Dollar when listing.

If seller plans to sell high value items on ebay, he might open an ebay store ( and pay $16 monthly fee) in order to save 3% on ebay fee. ( ebay fee decreased from 9% to 6% )

When you look at completed sales you need to consider ALL sales, not just those from two or three days. I posted this on the other forum, but just to show everyone where prices are heading and to stop the debate about them going up or down here it is again:

New-Superman-Series

Prices are incl. shipping to the US and in US$ (add roughly 10% for CAD prices).

Thanks omxfl for your effort to calculate this.

When I look into this graph, I see that it looks like all the shots going everywhere, but not to the center of the target.
Hard to say, or distance was too big, or people really novice....

And as per sales....it looks as going down back to slightly above issue.
Collectors will stay calm, resellers will bit worrying.

Locally, the GTA adds look funny:

The seller with the single set available, created 10+ similar adds, asking 1.800 for all 4 coins.
As I understand, this is to create the visual "volume of high priced sales", while actually together with his adds, there are listings for ~$1400 ..... no buyers in both the cases.

Is anyone still waiting for Superman coins? I'm an MC member, and ordered them within the first hour that they were online. I ordered all three silver coins, got charged for all three, got a refund for all three, recharged for just one (Action No. 1) and received my Action No. 1 a few weeks ago. The other two appear as "new order" in the order section of the profile. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a delay.

Okay. So they must not have shipped them all yet. I'm still waiting on my $15 and $20. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
