Just some thoughts moving forward I know the Mexican Coin Company told me already they would support the sale of the book. The book I am sure will be overviewed in the next MNA Journal as the September journal was just released in digital format yesterday - this could be both a review or advertisement in terms of promoting the book via the MNA Journal in subsequent issues along withe new Mex Paper Money book. I am already commited in purchasing around a dozen hard copy versions and will send to various museums/dealers throughout the world who specilize in Spanish American/Mexican (i.e., as gifts). I am sure also in the upcoming NY International which I attend each year I can take orders for Bob or pass along information for this book to all the dealers selling Spanish/American/Mexican. For the C4 private affair sometime in September in the Northeast which I will be attending feel free to bring CC8Rs for attributions if you are an invitee as was done two years ago. I will pass this information over to Ray Williams of C4 so in October in Baltimore Coin Convention (Whitman) any C4 member can also start ordering this great book. Bob - when you are ready just EMAIL me the specifics to pass along at these venues ...

I've been following these discussions for some time and find it fascinating. Please count me in for a full color hard copy of the book.

PatAR Hello - I can put you down for a color hardbound but the price is not yet set. It has to be two volumes so it will need to be revised. I expect it to be done in about 3 months after the paperback. I am only awaiting the Amazon approval of my revisions so I can release the title as a paperback - that gets the ball rolling for the hard cover B&W and then the Kindle versions.

Just wanted to let everyone know that today I approved the release of version 3 of the proof of the book. Version 2 still had 10 typos so the final proof was easy and I did it in a few minutes. According to the website the Paperback book will be available to order directly from Amazon.com in 3-5 days from today - September 5th or 8th. The list price is set at $49.95 plus shipping. It is print on demand. The next step for me is to get the hardbound version approved. I have no idea how long that will take but I will advise on progress. I also need to complete the discs that will accompany the hardbound version. Still believe they will be ready for ordering on or about the second week of October.

It's already marked 5% off ($47.45)!
I'd like to bring one to the Mexico City show for its debut. Let me see how fast they can get it to me. I leave Tuesday.

I guess the 5% discount almost made up for the 7% sales tax. I hope the discount doesn't come out of your pocket, Bob.
I placed my order. They say it's in stock and delivery is guaranteed 5 Sep by 8:00 PM.
I hope to skim through it on the plane and sell it at the show.
Waiting for the hardcover for my own copy.

I have no idea why I expected Hardbound to be any more simple than the paperback version was. But tonight I was just informed that Hardbound printing is no longer offered by Amazon through CS. They stopped the offer in late July or early August after I was already at the proofing process for about 3 months. Of course no one told me. Now I need to find an on demand printer to work with and start that process all over again. I will make contact when I hear anything.

Bob, you're covered on the table in Scottsdale. I just spoke with Cory and you've got a place to show & promote the book. If for whatever reason it doesn't happen, my table can be your fallback.

Thank you to those who have ordered the book. pruebas Thanks for clearing up the table issue at Scottsdale. I will definitely have the paperbacks available there - I hope to get the hardbound - perhaps in color as well but it may come in just too late. Looks like Ingram-Spark has the best deal available. Just the submission requirements are costly and time consuming. The format has to be re-done - they will not accept the Amazon version. The bleed and trim sizes are also different.

Bob My copy arrived today and it is wonderful. I have started reading and intend to read straight through all 600 pages by Sunday night. Excellent information and sure to set off some interesting discussions within the hobby. Congratulations!

moneditis As I understand the Amazon process - they will be offering the book through their UK, European and Australian outlets - but that takes longer for them to set up those (up to 5 weeks). The regional outlets will offer local shipping rates. The Kindle version should be out at about the same time.
